History
1908
In 1908 Great-Grandfather Aaron Rosinsky started The Belmont Paper Box Company on Belmont Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, the origins of the name Belmont Associates. Aaron produced paper boxes, which were delivered by horse and wagon.
1950's
Aaron Rosinsky’s son Philip helped his father from a young age and continued to grow the business until the 1950’s.
1970's
In 1946, Philip Rosinsky’s son Harold took over the Brooklyn based operation. In 1975, Harold began investing in Commercial Real Estate, specifically large anchored shopping centers. This proved to be instrumental in the continued success of Belmont Associates.
2000's
In 2003, Harold Rosinsky’s son Mathieu took over management of the portfolio. With the growth of e-commerce, in 2014 Mathieu invested heavily in Multi-Family Housing, providing diversification with the goal of ensuring conservative future growth.
